After a jury trial, Carratelli was convicted of six counts of vehicular homicide. In Carratelli v. State, 832 So. 2d 850 (Fla. 4th DCA 2002), rev. denied, 848 So. 2d 1153 (Fla. 2003), this court affirmed the convictions. We found that the trial court had abused its discretion in denying Carratellis cause challenges to three jurors. However, we affirmed the conviction because Carratellis trial counsel had not preserved his objection to the denial of his cause challenges. Id. at 855.
